It is Official Dell have the worst customer service ever. There Engineers dont know anything. I am returning the laptop and also going to complain to an agency. I waited 2 months for the laptop. my order got delayed 4 times and I had to spent another month to try and get my problem fixed.
Its the most expensive laptop and this is the service they give. I placed my order on 24th june and got my laptop on 20th august. They kept saying that I am going to receive my laptop this time. Due to this my Credit card got debited after 2 months which messed my finances really bad.

Even my research before buying the laptop says I should be getting somewhere around 5:30 hours on battery saver mode . But this is just too bad. I talked to Tech support but there answer was "Battery looks okay and it depends on the usage so they can not do anything." This is stupid, I am literally using laptop for web browsing, I play games on Power. Seriously I had Alienware m15 R5 (which I returned for x15) It was giving me more around 6 - 7 hours. I really don't know what to do, and I've got to decide before my return window ends. : (
Dell Service Request responds to evidence, so what did the Windows 10 Battery Report reveal? Have you been given a system with a battery that has a fault?

battery report seems all good. dell tech support also had a look at it and said everything is okay. battery health is excellent. I actually have no idea why its giving me so low battery life
I recommend you turn off all overclocks and limit the CPU speed to 2.1Ghz and the GPU slower than stock speeds. Also set the fans to quiet to not use too much power.
but wouldn't that be getting extra battery by force ?? because most of the X15 R1 users get 5 hours with normal tweaks. Anyway I try undervolting the cpu. hopefully that will help. Ill update the post.
Thanks for your help
Also I dont think my CPU is overclockable its i7 11800H.
I meant in case it had over clocks. since it doesn't you should download throttle stop and disable turbo boost since your basically using it for web browsing and that should prevent it from clocking higher than the base speed.
I have been tracking Cpu usage in task manager which is always 5 -8%. and yes I usually only browse internet when I am not plugged to power . I play games too but that's always on power.
I researched alot and pretty much every one is getting around 5 hours of battery life on normal tasks like playing video or browsing web.
I tried limiting CPU but have not helped at all. its giving me only 2.5 hours of battery life. It seems like no matter what i do my battery life is stuck at 2 to 2.5 hours. Till now I have reduced display to 60 hz, limiting CPU, Battery profile to battery saver all the time, Set fans to quite all the time. updating every everything I could(Nvidia drivers, windows Os, Dell drivers, BIOS etc).
only thing pending to try is undervaluing now
I am testing battery by running YouTube video at 40% brightness and closing all other programs.
Just undervolt it honestly like you said before because from what I’ve heard it drops temperatures and power consumption because I remember there was a formula which said the more power something uses, the more heat it produces.

Hi @vari217 welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Picked a review at random and Alienware X15 Review (2021 Model, i7-11800H, RTX 3070) - MyFixGuide.com says to expect about four hours. Battery 87Wh, DP/N DWVRR, is used in other Dell laptops. Please create Battery Report to see age of battery, a new battery should be less than six months old.
Battery has first year only limited warranty. Alienware Laptop Battery Issues | Dell US

This is the Windows 10 Battery Report - right? Not just the F2 BIOS menu battery statement that battery performance is OK.
The HWiNFO utility will give battery wear value, and open HWiNFO sensor information to see what is happening on the main board (aka motherboard).
Try to discover why battery charge does not last 5 hours. Where is the battery power being consumed? Does the main board have a fault?

This is quite high, like you play the game all the time. Should be around 20k at peak, or even less.
Did you undervolt GPU? It can lock into always-underwolt-but-never-idle state. If yes, just remove undervolt.
Also, check apps power consumption, some of them consume cpu/gpu high (i bet on 2nd).
PS: For surfing, switch browser to discrete GPU. Intel eats a lot under load, more than Nvidia. Sad, but true.
