Hi @xDamanx welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
If same fault is not fixed on three separate occasions, it is Dell policy to provide replacement laptop whose specification is at least or better than the laptop you have.
To fix same fault, Dell may have assigned local contractor to visit and install replacement parts or requested return of system to fix existing laptop or provide replacement laptop.
If the Dell warranty continues to be valid, please click on @DELL-Cares to send Private Message requesting assistance.
The tech installed the new motherboard. And iv already started to see issues. First boot after entering the bit locker key was the blue screen of death. Tried multiple times to reload a restore point with no success. I had to Re-install windows again to get passed that and I'm Still seeing a lot of shuttering in games. I'm going to play on it some more tomorrow to see if maybe ill get better results. This has been a nightmare. I was really hoping to see better results this time around.
My experience with the Alienware x15 R1 has been terrible. I've had multiple issues with this laptop from day one. It is fundamentally broken. The first laptop I had, had to be replaced. It was having extremely high temps, artifacting issues and screen issues. They sent a 2nd one and I was having the same issues with artifacting, stuttering issues, sound problems and the keyboard had to be replaced. I tried to grin and just bear it for as long as I could with the 2nd laptop. They then replaced the motherboard and on first boot I'm greeted with a blue screen of death. Tried to make a restore point with no success. So I reinstalled Windows. I loaded up some games and what do you know bad stuttering issues. I have requested an upgraded x17. Hopefully if they do send me one I won't see these issues anymore. Unfortunately, I don't have good things to say about the x15 R1. Its just been a $2,200 nightmare to deal with.

Figured i would give an update on this. I was able to get a replacement x17 r1 which was way better. I had to basically beg corporate to send it to me. No more issues. everything is very playable no artifacting whatsoever. The x15 r1 is just fundamentally broken unfortunately. They should have done a recall on those laptops.
I am in a similar situation with an X15 R1. Going on 2nd replacement motherboard and worried this will keep happening. Who did you contact at corporate to get the X17 instead?

They are going to replace the motherboard. I really hope this is the end of my issues with these laptops. The x15 has been a letdown thus far.

Dell is refusing to replace my laptop. So i guess they are not really honoring that anymore.
