x17 R1, does SupportAssist automatically install the latest AWCC?
It occurred to me that AWCC must be upgraded manually on all brand new systems?

If I were you, I would put off any update to AWCC as long as possible. It will eventually force you to udpate, so back your data up first. It will update and then won't ever work again. AWCC is awful alpha release software that's been problematic for more than a decade and dell has never fixed it. Dell technical support's only solution is to wipe your pc and start over. I know, this has happened to me on multiple alienware desktops and laptops. I currently have no control over the fans and performance level on my 17R4 after the latest forced update.

Here's what my AWCC looks like now after launching. It doesn't go any further. Note that Dell support is well aware of these issues with AWCC and has chosen not to fix them.

For that I would uninstall the command center and then delete all its files off of windows manually. I usually go to programs x86 and delete anything that has command center in it so issues like you mentioned are gone.
