x17 R2, problem with USB port

I have had my x17 R2 for 3 months now. I have had an Alienware keyboard, AW mouse, ThrustMaster T.Flight HOTAS, Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals connected in a USB hub for all that time.  I got notified a week ago that there was a mouse update. So I downloaded the new drivers. After that, I started getting warnings that a device was requiring more power than could be delivered, and the device would be shut down. Well, it turned out to be HOTAS (or so I thought). That eventually stopped working. So I went and rerouted my mouse and keyboard to use USB ports on the Alienware 38 inch monitor. I then tried connecting the HOTAS directly into the laptop. It still didn't work. I thought maybe the HOTAS was broken, so I connected it to an Xbox. It was fine. I then tried connecting it to the Powershare USB that is connected to the Alienware monitor. It worked there. However, then none of my devices connected to USB on the monitor worked. So I tried plugging the HOTAS into the keyboard USB. That worked. I then found out, the rudder pedals didn't connect when plugged into that USB port on the laptop. I had to plug that into a monitor USB too. I tried connecting the mouse or the keyboard to the USB port in question on the laptop, and that did work. So it appears that the USB port on the laptop is not delivering enough power. It once worked, but now after the update,  it isn't. Could this be a driver issue? The port itself does work, it just doesn't work for all devices because it doesn't deliver enough power.

Go to Device Manager and open Properties, Power Management tab and disable option - allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Windows Restore can revert the operating system settings in case they become corrupted or the OS fails to perform as expected. How to Restore Windows 10 to an Earlier Restore Point | Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com)
