Laptop without battery is designed to function as desktop on ac adapter (charger) power. 

Was Alienware x17 R2 purchased with Dell warranty?

Hi @abhi321 the Alienware x17 R2's Service Manual shows how to remove and install parts. 

Please remove all external connections, including ac adapter (charger). 

Please remove Base cover, which includes disconnecting (do not remove) the Battery and performing Hard Reset (drain Flea Power). 

Laptop without battery is designed to function as desktop on ac adapter (charger) power. 

Connect ac adapter (charger), check that its LED diagnostic light remains on when plugged into laptop dc‑in port. 

Press power‑on button and note any System-diagnostic lights. 

Open Alienware x17 R2 Diagnostics and run the 40 minute Full Test to thoroughly analyse your PC and detect any hardware problems. 

Run Windows Reliability Monitor and wait for creation of Event timeline. How to use Windows Reliability Monitor to identify software issues | Dell US. If there are there any Critical Events, open to look at Root cause and Microsoft error code. 

Disconnect ac adapter (charger), perform Hard Reset, then reconnect Battery and install Base cover.
