Avamar Storage Partitions when using Data Domain

When deploying Avamar VE with Data Domain as the backup storage, how do we size the Avamar Storage Partitions?

Since all backups will be stored on the Data Domain, it's really just metadata on the Avamar. How do we know how much storage to allocate to just the Avamar?
