Duplicate MAC Address Issue for a VM While doing Restore in avamar
We are trying to Restore the full image or selected drives to a new virtual machine for a VM in avamar (version :- 7.2.1-32) , after restore we are getting duplicate MAC address issue.
Is there any way we can fix this during the process of restore other than manually assigning a new NIC after the restore. The VM does not have static MAC, ESXI generates the Mac when the Network adapter is created, that MAC won't change.

Hi,
Avamar doesn't have control to create the MAC address during vm restore/creation. The ESXi is responsible of generating a unique mac address automatically when the VM is powered on.
please check the following KB for more details:

Appreciate your update and feedback if this was helpful to solve the problem; don't forget to mark the question as answered when the problem is solved.
