Failed to connect to Administrator Server

I got the Avamar VE trial from my account rep. I have gone through the installation process and I am trying to connect now to the Administrator from my PC. I can telnet to port 7778 using the hostname and it opens up a telnet session, it isn't like it disconnects right away like the port is blocked. I am using the MCUser user and leaving the domain as /. When I check the status of the services everything is up. I have tried using the fqdn of the server, the short name of the server and the ip address of the server. I know the username/password is correct because I ran an mccli command using the login and got information returned. I am out of ideas at this point.
