Hi still really new to this whole dark art of avamar!
I am looking to split up a backup in to 2 parts
Part 1, will be to backup all files but exclude *.PST files (Nightly)
Part 2 will be exclude all files and just backup *.PST Files (once per week)

Hey Chris,
As I know it is possible.
You just need to create new backup dataset on Avamar GUI->Tools->Manage Datasets.
Example:
If you have a windows system with a C and D drive. There is a "group" folder and a "home" folder under the root of D.
D:\Group\
D:\Home\
If you wanted to exclude DAT files from the "Group" Folder backup, you need to do the following:
Source Data = D:\Group\
Inclusions = D:\Group\
Exclusions = *.PST
BUT if you wanted to backup just the DAT files from "Group" folder, you need to do the following:
Source Data = D:\Group\
Inclusions = *.PST
Exclusions = D:\Group\
Avamar 6.1 Administration Guide is for your reference.
Hope this helpful.

Why did you have to stop DFS?
I was informed that Avamar does not care about DFS and you don't have to do anything special to backup servers running DFS.
