Thin Client Recovery Console

Hi Guys,

We have deployed Avamar and want to get our Help Desk to be able to do restores for users.

the web client for restoration is  a nightmare to  logon to with LDAP Authentication. I see that our helpdesk  is going to strugle with this.

Does anyone know of a better way to logon or a single sign on configuration that can be done for this component?

Well if your helpdesk is the team that will perform the restores, why dont you give them access to use Avamar GUI with restore operator roles??

or you can use the laptop/desktop plug in and the client can perform their own restores

Thanks for the advise. This is going to mean that each Helpdesk Operator will need to have the console installed on their PC.

the idea was for them to use a simple web interface to be able to do the restores.

Currently the helpdesk do not have server access or any type of restore access from a backup perspective.

So we have come to a solution where the Helpdesk will just have to have the client Console installed.
