M1000e - Ethernet Passthrough with ESX 4
I have a DELL M1000e Blade environment with M610 and M710 servers. All running ESX 4.
Fabric A1: M6220 (User LAN Segment)
Fabric A2: None
Fabric B1: Ethernet Passthrough (iSCSI to DELL Equallogic SAN PS5000e)
Fabric B2: Ethernet Passthrough (iSCSI to DELL Equallogic SAN PS5000e)
All the blade servers on ESX see the A1 and A2 as vmnic0 & vmnic1. As i understand, this is the M6220. The issue is that none of the blades see the Ethernet Passthroughs that are connected to a Cisco 2970 Switch. Shouldnt B1 & B2 show up on vmnic2 & vmnic3? This doesn't show on the ESX side.
Any body with experience with this would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Without mezzanine adapters, vmnic0 = fabric A1, vmnic1 = fabric A2.
If you add a mezzanine adapter to the B slot, vmnic2 = B1, vmnic3 = fabric B2.
