Donated CX4 480 - wipe and start new
I have received a CX4 480 as a donation. I did not get all of the drives that were connected to the array. How would I go about wiping all the configurations so I can set it up for our use? I have a PPP connection to it and a unisphere connection to it. I see the previous owners luns, etc. I tried deleting the luns, but I think, because I do not have all the hard drives, it is giving errors about not being able to find the luns. There are also errors regarding the pools. Again, probably due to not having all the drives it's expecting.

The process would be to reset the array. Luckily you did get the Vault drives - the first 5 disks - these contain the operating system for the array (called FLARE).
The procedure is a support-only operation and would need the help from either EMC or a Partner to perform.
