Is there any Primus case that deals with rebooting SPs and Management servers to clear a hung bus?

One of my sites had what I think was a LIP storm due to a combination of a failed drive 1_1_2 and my FE plugged a cable into the expansion slot instead of primary during troubleshooting htat caused al drives on bus 1 (120 drives) to not be seen until after we powered down the entire bus.

There was a Primus case mentioned but not the number of it.  My management wants more details. As a customer, I don't have access so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Primus for rebooting SP's is "emc190625", however process give below, and please find the link for restarting CLARiiON management server, I would suggest you to try restarting management server first, if the issue is still there.., then you may try rebooting the SP’s *one by one*.., it is recommended to reboot the SP’s on off production hours.

https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-7393

To reboot storage processor using Navisphere Manager:

  1. Open Navisphere Manager Enterprise Storage window.
  2. Expand the CLARiiON array.
  3. Right-click the SP that you want to reboot (for example, SPA)
  4. Select Reboot.
  5. Select Yes at the confirmation window.

But did you open a Service Request with EMC for this issue?
