Migration NSX -> VG2/VG8

Hi

I am at planing for migration of 50TB data of the NSX to VG2 and VG8. On the NSX runs several vdm's. The largest filesystem is 5TB.

What for migration procedures used you?

I can't use EMCCopy, takes to long and various filesystem have more as 255 characters. I do not have Cellera Replicator

You already with the backup/restore variant a migration accomplished?

After some test in the lab, i found out after the restore of a filesystem that local group are not carried forward to the new vdm, although i used the tool lgdup...

What's about the shares? how can i export the shares on the source vdm and import on the destination vdm?

Any ideas, how i can quick migrate the data?

Thank for ideas or proposals for solution

As mentioned by Rainer here:

https://community.emc.com/thread/122777?tstart=0

there is a temporary replicator licence available.

Please look at Powerlink for the Celerra to VNX migration white paper and get (free of charge) Replicator licenses for migration

Hi  Peter & Rainer

Thank you for the quick response. I look with our emc sales to get a license.
