Try this:

First explicitly map a share to a drive letter from that CIFS server as a user that is in the local Administrators group of the Celerra CIFS server

Then try MMC

Try this steps still having the same problem

1- A new test file system was created

2- A new standalone CIFS server was created (using GUI)

3- Changed the temporary password using ctrl+alt+ del change password.

4- The file system was shared using the newly created CIFS server

5- Used MMC to connect to the CIFS server and start adding many times without success due to using the Windows

6- users which appears to have necessary tools missing7- On the XP workstation I added the IP and hostname of the CIFS server OTDATA to the hosts and lmhosts.sam files

7- On the CMD run the following command to save the admin user credentials to the workstation:net use \\192.168.1.89 /u:OTDATA\administrator
