Unable to join on domain
Hi to All
when i am trying to join a new CIFS server on the windows domain of the customer, I take the error:
DomainJoin::createOU:: LDAP failed to Unable to create organizational unit 'ou=EMC Celerra' for compname 'srv-rm-nasbull' in domain 'ERT2000.GR' using Domain Controller 'srv-rm-fs.ert2000.gr'. LDAP result is 'Insufficient access rights'. LDAP error message is '00000005: SecErr: DSID-03151E07, problem 4003 (INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS), data 0
'.
The username that I use to join the CIFS server is OK and has all the rights for the creation of the OU
Anu idea?

You can create a new user with domain admin rights and the try to join the cifs to the account.
I came accross this issue today.

By default the computer account of the CIFS server will be created into EMC-Celerra and it looks like you do not have the privilege to create that OU.
In Unisphere or command line you can specify a different OU than the default one when joining the domain.
You should ask the Domain Admin where you should create the computer account

using the windows username it is possible to create the OU without problem, the problem is only when I am trying to join the new CIFS server from Unisphere or CLI

You can try to create a OU first as EMC celerra and then you can try joining the Cifs server to the domain.

Thanks guys, i have the same issue on vnx after upgrading our domain controller from win2003R3 to win2016
fs_dhsm cifs connections become abnormal
this post did solve my issue
