Vsphere NFS- I get error with server_mount- also do I create on each ESX?

I have vsphere 4 and NS120 5.6 environment.  We have several NFS exports for AIX servers.  I was wanting to start leveraging NFS on ESX.  I have several PDF.s

when i ssh as root and run

server_mount server_2 -option uncached vmware_nfs1 /vmware_nfs1

I get a bash - command not found.-what am I missing?

Second part is procedural.

If I have 5 ESX servers in my cluster, do I need to add an NFS mount to each ESX host individually?  I assume I do but none of my write ups are specific.

thanks

Hi,

Are you login in with a user different from 'nasadmin' ?

Try to log as 'nasadmin', then run the server_mount command.

Regarding your second question, yes, you need to specify the IP address for each ESX server you want to mount the NFS export.

If you login as root you dont have the PATH and NAS_DB variables set to run server_* command

Easiest way is to login as nasadmin or “su – nasadmin”

Thanks so much guys.  I had gotten the habit of grabbing root for ssh sessions.
