ns120 storage rescan problem

Hi

I have deleted a file system from ns120 and removed the raid group asossiated with it trough the navisphere manager .now i have created a new rg of 4+1 raid 5 and created a new lun on that  of size 1.5 tera lun id 18 host id 18.Ater this is rescan the storage and the rescan fails .saying the dm may be in the stand by mode etc .but the server_2 and server_3 seems to be ok .what could be the reason .

Thanks in advance

there should be messages in data mover log as to why the rescan is failing

I would sugest to open a service request

I have ran into similar issues when trying to manage Celerra's backend storage manually. I don't know of a fix other than to use the Celerra's builtin storage configuration script. I think the script is in /nas/sbin/clarion_setup ( I am assuming the backend is a Clariion).

did you delete the old dvols using "nas_disk -d -perm" ?

do they still show up in "nas_disk -l" ?

if yes does it show up in use ?
