Centera connection limit?

Does anyone know what (if) the connection limit is for Centera? My EMC CE thinks that there is a limit, and it is by pool, but neither of us can find a definitive value to this in the documentation.

One of our API based applications has periodic issues when connecting to a cluster. The current external connections on the cluster shows 7-8 connections per access node, but many are from the same web servers against the same pool so we're wondering if we are hitting a connection limit on the pool/cluster. Here are the current connections.
