Offline node

Hi,

One of our customers has 4 nodes gen 4, he removed one of the nodes from the system because it was offline, without the removal procedure……. Just plugged it out…..

He thinks, that the node is from the hardware all OK and in good working condition but he can`t install it again and bring it online.

any thoughts how he can bring it on-line?

Many thanks

Hello,

Why customer removed the node! if a node is offline you don't need to remove it.

A node being offline is not necessarily a hardware issue.

to bring it back online 1st make sure customer puts back the node at the exact same place, then follow the solution below.

Hi Omar,

Thanks for your answer but I'm getting an error "You Are Not Authorized to View The Content" when I'm trying to access your link.

is it possible for you to copy paste it here or upload it here?

Hi Eran,

the solution is not authorized for customers, only partners & employees can view it.

you can log an incident via https://support.emc.com/servicecenter/createSR/ & a Centera support engineer will connect remotely to the Centera & bring the node back online.
