Compellent compatibility - Nexus 7000
Hi All
We are planning to connect our Compellent to our newly acquired Nexus 7706 switches
Is this supported and has this been done before?
We plan to do this via Intel X520 10G Nics on Dell R720 servers on ESX 5.1
Also - is it advisable to do this via CNA adapters?

Nexus 7Ks are on the Compatibility Matrix for Compellent. You would have to use your local Dell Rep/Partner to get a contact into Copilot Support to verify if there are customers out there with that exact configuration but I would think yes by now.
I believe the X520's are on the VMware Compatibility Matrix so you should be good there too.
Many customers are also using CNA's at this point too!

Can you link to that compatibility matrix?
According to the Dell Storage Compatibility Matrix [June 2014] that I have, none of the Compellent SC series are supported on the Nexus 7000 family.

same document, page 14 has supported ethernet switches, second to last in Cisco section is the Nexus 7000. That what you are looking for?
