APO Shipping Tracking Number does not exist

I ordered an XPS 17 last month and the tracking number provided does not register in any system.  It says that it was shipped, however I am unable to track it.  I spoke with customer care and they said they "promise" it shipped and confirmed also that the tracking number listed is wrong, but cannot help me.  I don't know what to do.  Anyone have recent issues with this or know a timeline for shipping APO?  Thanks in advance.

Bear in mind that "shipped" means from the manufacturer:  for notebooks, in China or for desktops, China or Mexico.
You won't see the tracking number active until it arrives at a logistics site wherever they're then forwarded to the US Post Office for delivery.

It can take time for international shipping these days.
