Compressed/Broken Computer Screen
Hello,
I am unsure of how this happened but my screen seems to have a compression spot or something similar on it. I moved recently and it was boxed (in the box that I bought it in) for transport and it was wrapped up and all, as I normally do. While unpacking the car, it fell maybe 1-2 feet but the fall was not hard and it landed up right thankfully (in the box) and I checked it and it seemed fine, no exterior damage. I turned the PC on last night and it seemed to be fine with nothing wrong with the screen so no interior damage either, but I turn it on today and it has this odd mark. It only shows up on dark screens as I can not see it when there is a white internet page or light screen, but if it is darker or black like my wallpaper, then it is clearly visible. It seems as if you can see the "pins" within the screen when the mark is showing. I restarted my PC and it did nothing (as I thought it would) but I just wanted to check. There are three little areas (in the same spot) where the spots are showing and the biggest is maybe around the size of a quarter or smaller. I have never seen this before, and can not find anything online about it. If it matters at all I have a "Dell S2716DGR" or as it is referred to on the box "Dell 27 Monitor." What is this and how can I fix it (if it is fixable of course)? Thank you!
Also, I apologize in advance as the pictures seem blurry, but it is hard to get it to focus on the spot to show it clearly as it tries to focus on other things and the spot seemingly becomes invisible.

It definitely looks like pressure damage - but no, it's not repairable. It would require a replacement panel -- which likely either isn't available, or a practical option (most monitors these days have panels glued in place, and with the labor cost it'll be cheaper to replace the monitor than undertake a repair).
