Above is the information stated for my laptop's service tag, anyone knows wat the information is about? Is it international warranty? Who is UNY?

Hi virammobile,
Thanks for reaching out to us with your query. UNY stands for Unisys who is one of Dell's service providers. Any system which has 1 year onsite warranty will qualify for International dispatches. Nothing needs to be changed, please be assured about it.

Yes, you will need to extend the warranty. If you bought the system in USA and plan to use it in India, it is mandatory to have Onsite warranty on the system. If you are in India it doesn't really matter who the service provider is ie Unisys or Qualxserv because in India we have different service providers.

1year will expire this august 2013, do i need to extend it more for 1 or 2years dell warranty not UNY warranty

I have same query, I am planning to Buy a Dell Laptop from US but will be using in India.
So what should I do, to get warranty in India??
Do I pay any extra amount to get the support??
