Does Dell even want my money?

I placed an order for an Alienware ultrawide and received an order confirmation. I was waiting for a week to get an email saying the order was being processed but got an email saying it wasn't in stock but they could quote me the model up for a good price. So I emailed back saying can we set up with the finance option like I wanted to do with my cancelled order and haven't heard back. Now I could call them but judging by the name on the email I'm pretty sure I will be put through to an Indian call centre and when dealing with setting up a £750 finance payment I don't really want there to be anything lost in translation. So is this standard for Dell to be so slow with customer service? Should I wait or just buy a different brand?
