Horrible Customer Service, #3
I do not usually post in communities, leave comments or find myself so frustrated I am searching the internet aimlessly for answers. However, I have been pretty much limited to my Nintendo and iPhone until I purchased my Alienware m17 R3, the dream machine (or so I thought). The real issue is customer service and my opinion.
The fact that my first laptop came with pixels that were burnt out (white) almost in the center of the screen and a virus protection software I had no idea how to access (even after searching how to fix it on the internet) is a big issue, but only the first. I called support and was told I would receive a replacement. Fast forward approximately a month and now I have my replacement and I promptly returned the first one using the return label. Remember that software I could not access and did not have time to explore why (due to the 30-day expiration date)? Got it refunded after numerous calls to customer support. OK, kind of a lot of hoops to jump through considering I originally spent 2521.38 USD. I got refunded the exact cost of the software so really, I have invested 2432.61 USD and hours of my life.
Now onto the kicker, I am looking at my replacement m17 R3 and it also has a burnt pixel or two (this time in the far corner and its burnt out black), plus it is occasionally squeaky around the WASD and Left SHIFT keys, and the fan noises sound a little less smooth as compared to the first Laptop received. I called Customer service (based out of India) and have talked to too many reps, and supervisors that tell me they are the highest level I am going to get. I was at one point told I would get a 200 USD partial refund (a 07.9321% refund/also not even close to how much I paid for the defective display) and an email stating the details, which never happened. After many calls later I finally talked to a supervisor who told me that because I received a credit (the refund for the software I never got) I cannot receive anything else. Are you kidding me? I do not want to go through the whole replacement process again! I do not want to deal with Customer Service anymore! I have been hung up on! I have been disconnected! In my opinion, I have been blatantly lied to! Honestly, this is my last effort besides filing a complaint with an agency. Should I try to return this laptop and be done with Dell all together? Please someone help me without reading a script or struggling with a language barrier.

DELL-Cares via private message that I can't respond to:
Re: You’ve received a private message from Dell Community Forum Hi, since you have already discussed your concerns and a refund has been denied, I cannot change that, but I will be happy to look at your concerns and if there is a technical fault, we can help fix that.
My Response: Yes, roger, I got that. I was hoping a resolution might be found besides me either having to order a replacement within my 30 day window or returning the laptop all together. I do not understand why I, the customer, have to jump through so many hoops to resolve an issue that is the company's fault. Your customer service is awful; that is why I'm seeking a partial refund and not just trusting the replacement will be what I originally paid for. At this point I have invested too much time and effort to back off. I demand a partial refund for a less than awful experience and defective products.

I was talking to someone but the conversation seems to have ended and I was not messaged back. All the threads of conversation also seem to be closed and I can no longer reply to them. No solution was found.
