I can be wrong here, but I think Dell don't sell new computers with the CD / DVD drives anymore.

Personally, I would purchase an external portable CD/ DVD drive.

The drive is a plug and play disc burning and disc playing solution that you can use with a USB port.

The CD /DVD portable drives usually are fairly cheap.

They've been fading from systems for years now - - and they're gone from anything but the most basic, entry level Inspiron systems.

Just about anything else will need an external USB drive -- there haven't been XPS models with optical drives in several generations.
