Lost/Stolen laptop.

Good afternoon,

I'm kind of upset as I have either misplaced or had my Inspiron 11 Laptop/Tablet stolen. My first dell, only used a couple times, nowhere to be found. I do have the charger however so I believe it is dead by now.The last place my Windows account was signed into was here at home, however it hasn't turned up in months. Apparently, there is no way for dell or Microsoft to put a lock or message on the computer even though I have the serial number and the device shows on my account. Has anyone had a similar issue that may be able to help me find or lock the tablet? Or am  I just out of luck?

Thanks in advance for any tips/or feedback,

Ken

How to report a stolen laptop?

* File a Police report with your local law enforcement agency and obtain the following data =
Police Station, Case Number, Officer, Phone number
* Contact your Home Owner's insurance company. They will need a copy of your original Dell invoice
* Complete the "Report a Stolen System" online form
* Contact Dell Customer Service for your country and tell them that the laptop was stolen. Once they have verified your ownership of the laptop, the Dell representative can place a flag in our tool against the service tag for that laptop. This will prevent any unauthorized use of warranty or support until the flag is removed and ownership confirmed.
* If you purchased and engaged the LoJack Theft Protection service, call them (800-456-5225 press 3, press 2) and provide the same data
