Monitor Support for Windows 10
It's really hard to believe that a monitor that I purchased only 8 months ago is not supported in windows 10. I can not get the computer to even recognize that there is a DELL monitor even connected. The dell monitor S2740L is not working as originally purchased. If Dell does not want to upgrade the required drivers maybe they will offer a refund for the purchase price. I really can't afford to replace my monitor every 8 months or so because of Dell software issues.

Regrettably, the Dell policy only allows a refund inside the first 30 days from the invoice date. Per the sticky, Monitor drivers and Windows 10, a dedicated Windows 10 driver should not be required. Even though the Device Manager only states, Generic PnP Monitor, you should still be able to get the prime/native resolution of 1920x1080. What specific computer model? What specific video card? What out ports are the video card?
When purchased, we supported the following operating systems on the S2740L =

The User's Guide also spells this out, page 44 =
