Order Cancellation and Refund Time
Hello,
I recently placed an order for a laptop. I made an order over the phone because I initially tried to make an order online but the order would not work. Apparently, when you order from the business website the new XPS 17 with 512GB SSD, it will not work. It will send a $0 request to the bank when you attempt to purchase it, essentially disallowing you to buy it (please take it off the dell website if it is not available). You must order the XPS laptop with 1TB of SSD or more, or the order will not work. The 1TB requirement was due to "overheating issues".
Unfortunately, the first order over the phone was incorrect. I then called again to change the order. This required me to cancel the first order and create a new order. I ensured the second order was correct. The first order was cancelled the same day BEFORE it started shipping. Luckily, I had enough funds to do this, but now I have two charges.
My question is, how long does it take for the refund to go through if the order has been cancelled? I work at a university as a EECS TA and need to buy other supplies before the school year starts in 2 weeks.
