Ordered Alienware Aurora R9, lied to by support

Ordered an Alienware Aurora R9  as a birthday present that i needed on the 1st of july, 3 weeks after ordering i get a delay message. i spoke to a CSR about this and was told with daily email updates and phone calls the order was going to ship.

6/24/20

then

6/27/20

then

6/28/20

Its now the 29th and still have nothing. No updated, No Shipping and have been holding for hours while they transfer me and then hangup. Recent rep said there it shows late july shipping.  I have been scammed. While i had time to order from another manufacture Dell CSR's scammed me into keeping the order with them. Now they left me holding the bag. its impossible to get anything by july 1st from a different manufacture..
WORST COMPANY EVER. Do not trust anything you are told from support.

Excellent Support. 4th time i'm disconnected while placed on hold. I think this might be a record. 2+ hours 4 disconnects and not a single resolution. Way to go Dell!

We really just try to help customers (that already have their machines) in this forum. But really, the people you are already talking to on the phone is your best bet.

I purchased mine on 5/22 3 weeks later after the monitor and keyboard arrive they tell me about this delay. I talked to Support and was told it looks like it will ship on the 24th of june. then calls me / emails me the 27th. then the 28th via phone. Its the 29th and he has went silent. no other support person can tell me where he got this info from. Since i needed this for a july 1st Birthday present i feel i was led on in a scam to make it impossible for me to order another computer from someone else in time. I will never deal with dell again. This is the last Email from them =

I would like to inform you that the order is going to ship on 06/27/2020 we received an update from manufacturing team. Kindly accept my apologies regarding on delay. At Dell, we take pride in our service so please let us know if you have any other questions. Simply reply to this email and we will be glad to assist you.
Thank you for choosing Dell. We appreciate your business.

Update; pm from support telling me to call support. Apparently dell just gives preformatted replies without reading the messages. been on hold for an hour Trying to cancel the order.

After cancelling the computer which also took 2 hours i have been told that the monitor and keyboard if non returnable since its past the 30 day invoice. Now i realize why the support representative was delaying me. It was to attempt to force me to keep the other parts they shipped which are useless without the computer itself. Dell should be ashamed of themselves.

This isn't right. Reach out to the Alienware guys on Twitter to see what they can do to help open an RMA for the unused monitor and keyboard. I would be seriously angry if I'm in the same situation as you are.

Is this an Alienware monitor and keyboard? So without an Alienware PC, there's no way you can confirm the AlienFX lights work, correct? Then despite it passing 30 days, there's no way you can confirm those items work because you've been given the run-around for the R9 hence you should be able to return them, no? The Alienware bling bling lights are as good as "defective" because you don't have an to test them with.

Possibly, but nothing from Dell that would arrive by July 1.

Waiting a month / 2 months for an order seems ridiculous. I would be writing to the BBB if I ended up in this situation. Anything thoughts? Why is Dell so messed up with filling their orders?
