Part Order Keeps Getting Delayed
The Liquid Cooling System in my Alienware Area 51 R2 failed back in late April. After some phone calls with technical support I was directed to order a replacement part from Dell Spare Parts. On May 6th I purchased a replacement Liquid Cooling System. Since then my order has been delayed twice (now to June 6) - I received my 2nd notice today and Dell wants me to confirm if I still want the part, which I do.
I'm kind of confused on why my order keeps getting delayed. Right now I can go to the Dell website and order a brand new Area 51 R2, which uses this Liquid Cooling System. Is there a reason why one unit cant just be removed from production stock and be sent to me? My PC has been unusable since late April (CPU overheats). I can understand delays due to lead times/issues, but I find it strange how this Liquid Cooling System I need keeps getting delayed while new Area 51 R2 PCs are being shipped in 3-5 business days.
Thanks,
Justin

Hi Jng0804,
Thank you for posting your concerns on the Dell Community Forum Customer Care Board. We apologize for the delay in our response and for the inconvenience caused.
I have checked the message and understand what you mean. However, the inventory for building a system cannot be used as a sales spare part. If you placed an order for a particular part and is delayed due to availability, you may speak to our order modification team on the number: 1800 2472076 monday-friday 9am-5 pm, they will be able to replace the order with an similar/alternative part. Should you have any concern, you may private message us the order number, registered owner and email ID. We will look into this to check the reason for the delay.
