Problem with the Eneloop order from Dell !!!
Hi, I wonder if anyone else is having problem with Dell orders when it comes to Eneloop batteries ? I ordered a pack of 8 AAs Eneloop and 8 AAAs Eneloop batteries that were on sale back in July 2nd, order number <ADMIN NOTE: Order number removed per privacy policy>, when I ordered, it said for the AA that will be shipped generally in 1-2 weeks and the AAAs in 1-2 days.
After two weeks, I got an email saying that my orders will be late and if it is not shipped within the next 5 business days, I will be notified again. Since then, 1 month has passed and nothing about the order.
I tried to call Dell customer service and they are basically useless, they just said that my order is still in production (production ?? since when Dell is making rechargeable batteries ?) and all she can do is to cancel my order if I want. But I don't want to cancel it because it is on special and not after having been waiting for 1 month already.
Today I go to the Dell web site just to check and sure enough, both the AAs and AAAs are now back to the normal price and the site says: 1-2 days to ship the AAAs and 3-4 days to ship the AAs. So then why is my order in back-ordered ????
Now I'm thinking that Dell is delaying my order purposedly to fulfill orders that are at regular prices instead. Dell is still allowing people to order these items while my order is back ordered for over 1 month !!
I used to trust Dell but I don't think I will trust Dell anymore.

Thanks for posting on the Forum!
Batteries are not made by Dell, we do offer Electronic and Accessory items for sale as a courtesy to our customers. These items are shipped to customers directly from the vendor and their availability depends solely on them. If the vendor runs short of stock, they are supposed to notify us so we can modify the website accordingly. Unfortunately that doesn't look like it happened in your case.
While I can't do anything about the order, I'd be happy to look it up and see what the vendor says about it if you will contact me privately and give me the order number.
Once again, I do apologize if the vendor ran short of the items you ordered and you are experiencing a delay in getting your order delivered.
