Slow return process and poor customer service

I bought Dell G3 laptop thinking it was good price to replace my 8 year old Dell XPS 15 laptop.

Order placed: 7/25/19
Order shipped: 8/1/19
Order delivered: 8/3/2019

I spend a day trying out the laptop within' the first 5 minutes, the laptop froze on me though after I update BIOS and all the drivers seen to fixed the issue. Later I installed a few window update, it seen one of update caused Windows unable to probably restart or shut down, as it stuck in the loop at the please wait screen, after trying a few things to troubleshoot the issue I ended up doing factory reset to resolve the issue. The low quality of the display was the deal breaker for me that I decided to return the laptop.

Submitted online return order: 8/5/19
2 day later, I never got return shipping label and/or respond from customer service rep.
Submitted online return order for 2nd time: 8/7/19
Got respond from customer service rep on 8/8/19 with the following message:

"Thank You for contacting Dell Online Customer care.

I understand from your email that, you are having issues with order# and you would like to return.

Unfortunately, we do not have the technical expertise to assist you with this concern.

Please contact our Technical Support Department at your earliest convenience. They will be happy to help resolve any technical issue."

I decided to call to speak with someone about return my order the next day (8/9/19). the process take about 10 minutes before they are able to schedule UPS to come by next business day to pickup my laptop to send back to Dell.

UPS pickup my laptop: 8/12/19
UPS delivered my laptop back to Dell: 8/19/19

Called Dell customer service on 8/27/19, I was told my refund was already issued on 8/21/19 which that never happened. I was told it will request for my refund again it should be taken care of within' 2 business days if I still haven't received my refund, I need forward my service request number to US_CustomerCareOB@Dell.com

2 business day later, 8/30/19 I forward my service request number to dell support email. I was getting ready to file dispute with my credit card for this charge at this point. Later on the same day I finally got email confirmation about my refund back.

The refund will be credited in 10-15 business days to the original mode of payment after the system has been received by Dell.

 

For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Dell-Sreejith R) & send a private message with the order/ customer number, registered name & email address.

Yeah, I got my refund almost a month later. There is nothing easy about Dell return process, it was frustrating experience from return process all the way to getting my refund.

Can you please share process for that I want to return my product it was just recieved befor 3 days. Please share email or contact number.
