What is going on with the ordering process?
I ordered a new Alienware x51 R3 desktop on Monday. I got an email containing my purchase ID and everything included in the order. 2 days passed and I had not received an email with my order number, etc. I couldn't even find my order online. I called customer service and they said my order was not processed.. Lol what? They told me to reorder.
Wednesday I ordered again after the conversations with the reps from customer service. I got the same email containing my purchase ID, etc etc... Did not receive my order number. With this order, I used a Dell account that I had created. I look up my order, and I find it... But with only my Dell Rewards listed in the purchase... Where the *** is my *** desktop and why can't any of your reps help me figure out what the issue is?
Has anyone else had this problem before?.. This is completely ridiculous. I ordered this desktop for my brother for his birthday and now it won't be here one time, IF IT EVEN WAS PROCESSED AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT EVEN IS!
Can someone help me please? I'm quite dismayed about what is happening. I just want the *** desktop I'm ordering. The charges aren't even going through my account. Is there some sort of server issue on Dell's part? Help?

If I were you I'd call Financial Services to make sure there's nothing on your balance, immediately close the account, and stay far, far away from Dell. At this point I don't think anyone's had an order for an R3 filled and if it went through they'd just sit on it only to later cancel it or try to ***-and-switch you anyway.

I agree with Andrew, they basically selling new Alienware systems they can't fulfill the order on, something ALWAYS comes up... Either no parts, old outdated parts on your system that will be "upgraded" later for free, then a charge for the "free" upgrade or move you to a different system, at which point your "estimated" delivery date begins all over again. Then you just end up at the same problem again all over again... No parts, old parts or needs an upgrade AGAIN...

Same here, happen to me TWICE. where it doesn't show up in my order history, the dell promotional gift cards are shipped (but never ended up coming to me) wasn't charge for the pc's and customer service doesn't even see any order for it at all. this was a month ago, now last week for the THIRD time I order the x51 r3, and it went through and I got charged for it, but now my problem is that its stuck in (pre production) and the eta has passed already with no update. This is nuts. does dell not want my money

I gave up and ordered from Best Buy instead. I prefer an Asus with GTX 960 and the i7-4790. It runs the same as the x51. Same specs. Was $150 cheaper than Dell. I ordered it last night and I got the notification that it shipped already.
Never ordering from Dell again.
