AX 150 - CHANGE & BUY NEW DISK
Hello everybody.
This is first time that i write in this forum .
I want help about my Dell Emc Storage AX150 model with DISK 0 -11 ( 7 working + 1 hot spare ).
The capacity of them is 458 GB .
I want to buy & add new disks to my storage , but first of all i want to see the exact specs of the hot spare
and then buy new. Can anybody tell me , how can i '' eject '' or remove the hotspare disk while the storage is online
and the users store files to it , with no effects to it ?
Thank you .
Regards ,
Antonio

You cannot put anything other than EMC certified drives in this unit, so pulling a drive to look at the model serves no purpose.
I'd suggest to go into Navisphere and look there to see what EMC drive part number(s) your system has in it.
As this unit has been end-of-life for several years, it's unlikely that Dell and/or EMC still offer drives for it, but you can usually find a decent selection of EMC certified drives on Ebay and such. You'll want to look for drives that are specifically for the AX150 (though AX100 drives will probably work too).

Here are some part numbers, 005048606, 005048607 and 005048718. If you google 'emc it will return suppliers of that part number. An example is here: www.ebay.com/.../330782593939
