Moving Host to another Host Group
Hello Guys,
I have two Host groups, one is linked to VMware server and another to Windows server.
I need to move the Windows server host to be under the VMware host group so I can access it from VMware.
What are the prerequisites for this, and how this can be done?
I have a little experience in SAN storage, so please provide as much details as possible :)

Hello Haitham,
No you will not lose any data as long as you don’t delete the virtual disk. Here is a link to the administrator guide and if you look on page 58 it explains the steps that is needed to move a host to a new host group. http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/common/md32xx_md36xx_administrator%20guide_en%20us.pdf

Hello Haitham,
Which Storage system do you have as you didn’t state it in your post? If you have an MD3xxx system then you will change this in MDSM.

Hello Sam,
Sorry for not mentioning this, I have MD3200.
My concern is if I will lose the data or no, is there any best practices or recommendations?
