lost administrator access to cx3-40f

Hello,

I have storage array cx3-40f, but no one who knows how can administrator log in.

Old administrator was setup array, and change default password, and access to array.

How i can reset default settings, or change administrator password?

Symptom    Need to reset security because password was forgotten.

Symptom    Lost password for CX-Series, CX3 series, or AX4-5 series storage system

Fix

You must use a serial connection for the following procedure to work:

1. Establish a PPP connection to one of the storage processors (SPs).

2. Point your browser to this URL: http:// 192.168.1.1/setup

3. Click "Create a New Account."

4. Enter a user name and in the New Password Verification text box, type in the password again.

5. Click "Restart Management Server."

Note: You may need to restart Management Server on both SPs.

6. Point your browser to this URL: http://

7. Log in to domain using the newly-set username and password.

Note: You also have the option of completely resetting domain security. However, if you select this option, you will destroy ALL domain information, including domain information for the master, other arrays, and portals. If you decide to reset domain security, replace Step 3 with the following:

Click "Reset Security" and confirm.  (You must reset security on both SPs.)

Then perform all other steps as described.

After establishing PPP Connection and pointing browser to 192.168.1.1/setup I do not have create a new account option. Below are the options I have. Set Privileges User, Change Service Password, Manage SSL/TLS Cert, Restart Management Server, Set Update paramaeters, Reset Domain Node ID, Turn Automanage On.Off, Destroy Security and Domain Information, Set administration Access Restrictions, Refresh Manage.

Hello Cinta87,

If you destroy domain security, it should allow you to login using the default of administrator/password.  When you destroy the security, it should restore all defaults.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
