Duplicate VTL tapes are generated with volume indexes
We are getting duplicate Virtual DD volumes auto generated in volume indexes but not in the library. I have restarted the nsr services for the backup server, cleared the duplicates and left it for a day. And they are just generated again. Please help me with the cause of this issue.

Hi M.S.Aiswarya,
The DataDomain system is essentially just a storage device, so it will only create files/directories/VTL tapes etc when told to do so, either by a command line/GUI (if applicable) or via the backup software. As you are mentioning 'nsr', I assume you are using Networker, so as Networker bundles ddboost in it's distribution, you may find that posting this question in the Networker support forum will help further as this would not appear to be a Data Domain issue from the description you supplied.
