EMC DD160 VTL Buffer size and block size

Hello,

I'm setting up a DD160 to work as VTL for Symantec Backup Exec.

The DD160 and the backup server are connected via FC.

Symantec Backup Exec offer 2 parameters, block size and buffer size, for each virtual tape drive (total 4), I believe these parameters can influence the backup performance.

Default values is 64KB for both.

Max value for block size is 512KB

Max value for buffer size is 1MB.

To get the best performance i would like to know, what's the highest reasonable value supported by the DD160 for these parameters?

Thanks.
