DPA 6.0.1 Sending e-mail fails

All,

Our organisation uses SMTP e-mail relay and after building our new DPA server I got the messaging team add the IP of the DPA Application server to the Mail Relay server.

Even after I configure the Global Email Setting on the DPA Server none of the report that I send out seem to go over e-mail. I am getting the below error message every time. I am wondering if anyone has seen this error before and what is it that I am not doing correctly. Any suggestions/recommendations?

Failure message: 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
