Windows update & encryption process

Question

So, I have machines running windows 10 1703 and Dell Encryption 8.17 and below. I need to upgrade windows to 1803. So what process do I use. Do I upgrade the encryption software to the current one 10.3 then upgrade windows, or do I upgrade windows to 1803 first then upgrade the encryption. This is based on assumption that you can do an in-place upgrade of the encryption software.

@MarewaYou should upgrade the client before proceeding with 1803. However I would highly suggest you read our Dell Encryption for Windows Best Practices: Windows 10 Upgrade / Migration article.

You are specifically going to need to read "8.10.0 and Later" tab as you are currently on 8.17.0. Let me know if you have any other questions.
