Any way to get a Recovery "Normal" alert without getting hundreds of other Normal alerts.

So we get alerts for our Critical and Warning emails and we'd also like to get the Normal/Recovery email when a warning gets fixed so that we know it's all OK.  So, I turned on alerts for Normal messages and we got spammed like crazy with all kinds of alerts that we just didn't care about.

Is there any way to only get a Normal alert when there was a corresponding Warning or Critical alert first?

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the query.

OME does not correlate alerts based on component/failure/resolution for a particular device. The functionality you are looking for may not be achievable at this point because of the same reason. Certainly a good feature to have.

Hi,

Like Shivendra mentioned, OME does not have this feature as OME just receives the alert generated by OMSA or any other source. Although, OME does have an inbuilt feature where it generates alert for you if the overall health state of the device under consideration changes. So, when the health of the server becomes warning, an alert is genarated by OME stating health changed to warning and when it goes back to normal, you will see one alert genarated stating, health state changed to normal. It might not solve everything you want but at least it can be a starter. You can enable this feature from Preferences >> Alert Settings >> Enable Internal Health alerts.
