2nd hd for inspiron 3252
how to add a 2nd HD to inspiron 3252 to recover data from my dead dell?

You can buy a cheap HD enclosure instead of installing a hard drive on a computer. The hard drive might be the reason the dell is dead. Your model requires a smaller second HD. See the manual for installing hard drives-

Mary, thanks, problem the old dell's MB was the problem and the disk was fine. Used another computer with the appropriate power connectors (3252 is lacking) and connected the old drive as a 2nd drive. Was able to copy all of the date to a USB drive for transfer. These new cheap computers save a dime by eliminating a wire to the dvd drive for power. Back in the 90's I remember the 1st time all of the externals (video, network, etc) were integrated on the MB, video fails and you need to replace the MB. Need to find a MB and will probably be back in business as a backup computer.
