660s will not power on

I have a inspiron 660s that will not turn on.  The green power light is on in the back.  Nothing happens when I hit the power button.  No lights or beeping.  The machine is about a year and half old.  Tried unplugging and draining power.  Still nothing.  Help please.  Thanks.

This no indication the power supply does not have issues.

As the power button is not lite and there are no beeps, then I would suggest replacing the power supply with a 'Known' working unit, as this is required to test the system and motherboard.

It would seem that the Inspiron 660s power supply is a Dell proprietary unit, due to it's shape and size.

You will need to call Dell Spare Parts at 1-877-717-3355 and have system's "Service Tag" handy.

Or, you could buy a 660s compatible power supply from here:

Hi,

Did you try removing the removing, hd, odd.

Was there a power surge?

Does the power light comes on even for a sec.

Glad to hear that replacing the power supply resolved the issue.
