AHCI
Does AHCI even exist in a DELL E521,as i am going to add a SSDH & WIN7 to my PC and one the things that came up was the mention of AHCI that is
supposed to make WIN7 run better,but when i went into the BIOS i could not find it or did not know where to look any ideas,thanks

Install ATA.
You can always change it later if its possible.
