ATTENTION People who are having Driver Problems

I was recently having some problems with my drivers and accidentally stumbled upon this fix.  First of all, I use a website called driverscape.com.  It has completely Windows-verified drivers that I have never EVER been able to find anywhere else.  Second of all, sometimes the installation files don't work, so to ensure that your drivers install properly, follow these steps:

1. Go to this link: http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers.  (this will work for any driver and any computer, just go to the homepage)

2. Find your device that you need drivers for, click on the link, scroll down to where you see your operating system (make sure that you don't get 32 bit and 64 bit mixed up).  Click on the download button.

3. Unzip the dowloaded files in Windows Explorer into a directory where you will be able to find them later.

4. Press Winkey + R to bring up the "Run" dialog box and type, "devmgmt.msc" which will bring you to the management console where you can see all of your drivers

5. Find the device that you need to install a driver for.  For example, and this is the most common one, your graphics card driver will be under "Display Adapters".  If you need to update the driver, then you will see the model of your graphics card.  if you need to install a driver, you will see, "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter."  For other devices, there might be a section labeled, "Other devices," or there will be a small yellow warning sign next to your driver.

6. Regardless of what it it labeled as, right-click on it and the click on, "Update Driver..."  once you are there, click on, "Install from a specific location"

7. There should be a space for a file directory.  Click on "Browse..." and find the directory that you unzipped the files to and click on the folder that contains the driver files

8. Click on the "Next" button.  Your driver should install, and if it doesn't, you may want to consider downloading a driver scanning software.
