Ad-aware detection

Hi,
am running XP on my Dell. Ad-aware detected 1 suspicious key. It says:
K Alexa software\microsoft/internet explorer\explorer bars\{30d02401-6a81-11d0-8274-00c04fd5ae38}.
It asks me if I want to remove it. Is it safe to remove it? It also asks if I want to back it up. What does that do and do I want to do that?
Thanks

You can safely remove Alexa. All it is is spyware that tracks your activities on the net. They've supposedly neutered it a bit since it was first forced on people, but it's still tracking you, if it's installed.

Pardon the cut, Ralph. At least we're in agreement. :-)
