Adding MSI Radeon HD6450 video card to Inspiron 620

Initial problem:  nothing shows on monitor when using the Radeon HD6450 video card. This was not a hardware problem with the Radeon HD6450 video card, as the same  registered on the screen of an Inspiron 580 [a machine that is basically not functioning, but at least you can turn it on and see a screen.]. Moreover, a  GeForce GT610 video card, which worked on the Inspiron 580, also worked on the Inspiron 620.

The solution appeared to get drivers from Dell. I was able to locate a driver specifically for the Radeon HD 6450- driver R294998. Unfortunately, when I tried to extract this driver, I got the following message:

"This self-extracting zip file is part of a multi-disc zip file. Please inset the last disk of the set."

After one click, the following message occurred::  "An error occurred while unzippping One or more files were not successfully unzipped. The error code is 110."

This is apparently not a Dell error message, but a MS error message. I am running Windows 7 Pro with Office 2007 Pro. There are ostensibly "hot fixes" from MS for such problems, but they are not easy to navigate.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

One suggestion I read was to try to extract the file on another computer.

I had this problem with a 2350 that defaulted to the onboard graphics. I had to connect a monitor to the onboard graphics until I could boot into Windows and disable them.

Thanks for the suggestion. In refining my search, I have  discovered that there are a fair number of posts on the Inspiron  620/660 not recognizing video cards. It is a not uncommon problem for those particular Inspirons.
