Look for "Audio Enhancements", not sure exactly where it is with that model, but the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound is a good place to start. Audio Enhancements have echo and reverb as options. If you have this, disable the Enhancements as that is probably the echo problem.
The other problem is not hardware (this forum section). Repost on the Software Section for help with the link problem (which could be your anti-virus or a pop up blocker).
